Gillian Chung appears on screen, not yet accepted by netizens

A member of Twins, Gillian Chung (Ah Gill) was involved early 2008 in a nude pictures scandal, her image was damaged and consequently had to stop all her work in the entertainment industry. As a result, her partner Charlene (Ah Sa) alone sustained the whole situation and spent 2008 unaccompanied.

Ah Sa was interviewed on TVB's 我的2008/My 2008 program which was aired the night before last. She explained that during 2008 she felt so tired she had thought of retiring, during her interview she was agitated and asked to stop taping. Charlene also said she hopes Ah Gill can return as soon as possible to share her workload, and Gillian appeared on screen for the first time since she stopped work, a segment showing her visit to Charlene at work in Guangzhou was broadcasted. After the program was aired, netizens ardently discussed this and opinions can be divided into two groups, with one supporting Ah Sa, while another criticized the show as paving the way for Gillian's comeback and generally expressed they cannot accept her return.

During the program Ah Sa said it was very tiring to face all aspects of work alone in 2008, especially answering the media's questions, at that moment she hoped Ah Gill could come out to help her reply. She revealed that during the past year she did almost 400 jobs, when she was tired she had thought of quitting, fortunately she received the encouragement of her company and colleagues. Some have said you benefited a lot with your increased workload? When Ah Sa heard this she sighed with regret: "I feel that in this matter no one wins but only loses everything. Although it is now adversity, the most important thing is how to continue on. Ah Gill and I are in the same boat, we have to face situations together and must not give up, like the dialogue in the movie 我要成名: "As long as I am not dead there's still (chance) to be lucky."

The program aired a segment about Ah Gill who visited Ah Sa backstage when she performed a musical in Guangzhou: the two of them happily chatted, Ah Gill showed a handbag that was a present from Ah Sa, and Ah Gill backstage silently appreciating Ah Sa's performance. Many netizens felt that the program intended to pave way for Ah Gill's comeback and many felt they cannot yet accept her return.
